BEGINNING VOCAL WARM UP WITH EXPLANATIONS

#1 – LIP ROLLS

This lip roll exercise is a great warm up for beginners. Connect to your breath and begin to warm up your chords without any extra strain or pressure without needing to worry about vowels or placement.

 

#2 – YAH (Yawsome!)

This is a nice big warm up for all levels. Sing on yahhh with a relaxed jaw. Don't Push! We're not belting our faces off yet.

#3 – Ear Training – Major Scale Using Numbers

Give yourself a boost above singers who don't read music! This simple ear training exercise will get you started on your path to being able to read music.
