All the World's A Stage –

RachelIf the world was a stage, social media is the most highly visible platform. Once you can begin to see social media as an asset in being seen, you will treasure these platforms like the stage itself.

Never before has there been a way of becoming an “instant celebrity” quite like social media. Just ask Justin Bieber, who was discovered on Youtube, or Grumpy Cat, who probably makes more money than most people!

With the social media obsessed world we live in, it is imperative to see each social media platform as it’s own opportunity to be discovered. The right (or wrong!) tweet could change your entire life.  Don’t be nervous though, because it takes real effort to say something wrong that goes viral.

Imagine the potential, though. You have no idea who could see your tweet, video, or post. It could be President Obama, Ellen DeGeneres, or even the CEO of Tmobile, who has taken a liking to using social media himself.

Here are the three tips I have for you when using social media to be discovered:

  1. Have a consistent brand. This goes across all platforms. Don’t be one person on Twitter, and completely different personality on Facebook.
  2. Be authentic. Your fans are most likely to fall in love with you and share your content if you come across as YOU.
  3. Create quality content. You don’t need to spend an arm and a leg to create amazing content. With a computer’s camera you can easily record a video of your best performances. By using www.canva.com you can quickly create stunning graphics that get your message across.

If all the world is a stage, and social media is one of the best platforms, then it’s time for you to jump in with both feet. What are you waiting for?
